WHERE to stay? Many people prefer to stay somehwere around the old Jewish Quarter of "Barrio Santa Cruz" where many of the streets are pedestrian & narrow and where many historical sites can be seen. Immediately next to (west) the Barrio Santa Cruz is the also historic "El Arenal" neighorhood which runs alongside the Guadalquivir River. "Capping" these two neighborhoods to the NORTH is "La Macarena" neighborhood which has great history as well. Across the Guadalquivir River and just west of the El Arenal neighborhood are two more neighboorhoods which are split horizontally. The northern neighborhood is called "Triana" and the southern is "Los Remedios". It's recommended to stay in - or at least near - the old center as it is the most charistmatic and will most certainly make your stay more memorable.
