The search should produce three other threads. The correct spelling is LLADRO.
Good luck from a fellow New Yorker....

Actually the spelling is lladró, with the accent on the o! The best place to buy it is at the factory in Valencia. They sell seconds; but if you search well, many of the seconds have such minor flaws that one can hardly see the flaw. I have a Don Quixote that the flaw was the wrong paint on part of one hand. I also used to shop at two places in Madrid: Enrique de Val's, near Plaza España & Colonel Miller's - I forgot in which section it was located. Good Luck, David

And sometimes the "flaws" in the seconds can make them actually more collectible!

Thanks Everyone
I really appreciate the advice on were to buy the lladro. I'm not sure if it justify a trip to valencia. I figure that a pretty long haul from barcelona and I only a week. But if the prices are that cheap it's worth considering??

Amazing what that SEARCH link turns up sometimes, eh? hehehe.. Also, the official Lladró site is, logically, @ http://www.lladro.com Good luck! Saludos, MadridMan

There's a huge, gorgeous new store in Toledo (Carmelitas Descalzos 5 not far from San Juan de los Reyes)with every piece imaginable and displayed beautifully. Silvia, the young manager, was extremely patient and helpful. It's directly affiliated with Lladró.
