The 54 Euros is "mid-season": our stay in May counted as mid-season. High season is Easter plus July, August, and the first half of September. Their web page explains their rates.

By the way, in mid-May, there were fields of daffodils in places, along with wild columbine, foxglove, hyacinth, ranunculus, and other flowers that I didn't have names for. We were lucky as far as the weather.

And yes, the place is designed for Brits wanting walks in a better climate than the Lake district, I think, rather than people visiting Spain. That does mean it is not the right place for a lot of people. But different people travel for different reasons, and it will suit some people, including me. Besides, for me, the Brits count as interesting foreigners too.
