On the subject of toilet paper, I thought that pink toilet paper from Dia was the most hilarious thing I had ever seen! And truth be told, some of my apartments that I lived in while I was in Spain were less than clean. Everywhere has these problems! Look in any city in the world and you'll find the whole range from pristine to muck. Stick to nice places and you'll be fine. And no, I don't like the taste of Madrid water, but neither could I stand Utah water when I moved here.
