Hello everyone! I'm will visit Madrid from 3/28-3/31 and I'm looking for a place to stay. I have gotten plenty of info from this site but it's still pretty confusing.

So far, it seems that some of the favorites are Hostal Lopez, Hostal Adriano and Hotel Plaza Mayor. I have traveled quite a bit in Europe and I know what to expect in regards to room size and 'ammenities'or lack thereof My main concerns are cleanliness, safety and friendly/helpful staff. Which of these would be best for a single woman traveler?
