I do agree with you when you say that some people do speak Spanish, Catalan, Vasco and English. What I do not agree with you is with the statement that any one of these languages can be called Spanish. I think not. A simple question: If you were to leave Spain and applied for a passport in which language/country would the passport come from. I believe it is Spain, not Catalan, not Vasco or Gallego. Spanish is Spanish and the rest are just other languages (or if you would like dialects) within the same country. Hasta Luego!
