Madridiario JUST reported there will be a Madrid Metro strike, lasting 24-hours, on (Wednesday) June 27 and (Friday) June 29, 2012. The metro strike is an attempt to have their 3.3% salary reductions re-instated. Spoke to someone this morning at 8am and she told me there WERE "SERVICIOS MINIMOS" on the metro trains. That is to say, there IS metro service, but fewer trains and farther between each one, which equals longer waits and fuller metro cars. But at least they are running!
