It's been 6 years since I've been to Madrid. Are these two eateries still in business? I cannot see them using Street View.

Madrid 1 Catedral - Carrera de San Jèronimo, 16
Nueva Galicia - Calle de la Cruz 6

They are open, I was in both of them 2 weeks ago. Nueva Galicia has a Facebook page.

I can vouch for Ribeiro do Mino!!! This is a must go to spot for us each summer! I went with Steve Robinson and MM one summer and we had a blast! I can't wait to celebrate my esposo's bday there this July!

I ALMOST had lunch today at Nueva Galicia on Calle de la Cruz, 6, but they were packed full inside at 2:15pm already. Now THAT'S a VERY SPANISH place! Few tourists venture in. I would've had lunch on their terraza, but it was SO WINDY today that things were blowing everywhere!!

Saludos, MadridMan

yes my family and old Real Madrid socio friends go to Ribeira do Mino, for years at least since 2003. Great place and we know everyone there.
