Has anyone flown Air Europa from the US to Spain? How was it? Would you do it again? (I found some terrific fares for next summer, but other reviews I am reading are scaring me a bit)

I have flown Air Europa once to Madrid, not great but ok bare services. Unless the price diff is enormous wont use them again.

I know they're very popular, but don't hear much talk about them what with the flood of (positive) commentary about Easyjet and the (mostly negative) commentary about RyanAir. I'd like to try Air Europa someday, however, just to experience it for myself.

It looks like Air Europa is in the midst of a strike and (according to Pedmar on the shout board) a lay off, too.

yes 8,5% of work force losses of 13,1 M€, already out 262 laidoffs unfortunately the only info I have is in FRench :;)

ps AA is in chapter 11 too; so it goes again the airline business. Its my degree left it for good in 1985 while working at EWR Newark airport,never look back.
