Can anyone tell me who are the popular Spanish singers these days? Please don't name English artists, even if they are popular. I am looking for new Spanish only music.

When you say "Spanish singers" you're asking singers with Spanish nationality, right? I can't say which are the newest, hottest Spanish pop singers these days, I'm afraid. Seems I've gotten myself stuck in the pop singers from a few years ago - which I won't mention here so as not to taint your topic.

OK, maybe you should "taint my topic". I will tell you who I like and you can perhaps add to the list from older groups, if you wish. I listen to: Jarabe de Palo, Fito y los Fitipaldis, El Bicho, Ishmael Serrano(I found him through you, MM and I really like his music) Cafe Quijano (defunct now) Joaquin Sabina and los Delinquentes. I don't mind if you add other nationalities, but I prefer Spanish language. I also like Andres Calamaro, Diego Torres, Alejandro Fernandez, Elefante, and Fonseca.

I'm just looking for something new to listen to.

MM makes the point about differentiating between Spanish nationality singers and the very popular Spanish speaking Latino singers ( Juanes , Shakira , Coti , Chayanne ,Ricky Martín etc ... ) . I like Fondo Flamenco , El Barrio , Pitingo , Miguel Poveda , El Canto del Loco , Rocío Jurado , Rosario , Davíd DeMaria , Manu Tenorio .. All Spanish ( and there are many more ) . El Barrio is from Sevilla and mixes flamenco and pop . VERY popular with younger people and he normally plays at least 2 sell out performances a year at Madrid's Palacio de los Deportes . MM went to see Pitingo ( I was jealous ! ) . Oh and don't forget Davíd Bustamente , Alejandro Sanz and Hombres G .
