Good news for Spain lovers... TVE, the Spanish public national television company has started broadcasting some of their digital channels online today.
I'm not sure if they are available outside Spain (sometimes they check your IP address to see if you are connecting from Spain)..
WOO HOO!!! Thanks, Antonio!! I remember WAAAAAY back-in-the-day when TVE1 always broadcast online but then stopped doing it. Glad they're back!!
And, while I'm not "looking a gift horse in the mouth", I will say that they have their screen "aspect ratio" screwed up. They've set it for 16:9 "wide screen" while the image they're broadcasting is the old 4:3 TV aspect ratio so the image looked "stretched". I hate that.

Recently, in the last years, TVE1 ONLY broadcasted special events online. Years ago, like 6-7 years ago, they did broadcast 24 hours online. I think it's GREAT they're back to their free-airwaves ways. Good for them. And that all goes with their ZERO-ADVERTISEMENT policy too. That's great.
By the way, the video above is that of TVE24horas as they/TVE does not allow embedding of their TVE1 player. For that, click through the link above to go to La 1 de TVE, en directo.

I have to wonder if they just don't show the movies due to transmission rights they may not have to broadcast via internet. The motorcycle races, which are going on now on TVE1 online (same race as shown on TDP: TeleDeporte), is showing just fine. Has anyone actually seen a movie on TVE1 online??
