Staying 5 nights at the Hotel Occidental Miguel Angel . Any ideas regarding how far it is from public transportation? Any recommendations on a private tour guide or tours? Thanks, Ferdi

There is a Metro entrance (station Gregorio Marañon, lines 7 & 10) about 10 meters far from the hotel entrance. In a radius of less than 100 meters from the hotel, you will find bus stops of lines 12, 45, 14, 150, 45, 27 and maybe some others I cannot remember right now. It is difficult to find another hotel with better public transportation options.

As Torrales says, there are lots of options for public transport. If you are going to Sol from your hotel the best is to take the 5 or 150 bus (I think one of them goes by there, down the Castellana.)
