Bush surrounds Louisiana with armed Mexican troops Louisiana is a big state I doubt there are that many Mexican troops and navy ships to do it. Also to say Bush is a fault here, try the Secretary of State, Condoleezza Rice who is at fault. If there is any real fault in the first place, because I see so many loaded words used and one sided point of view I doubt very much the honesty of the article! Bill

Ninas, do you really believe all that crap? These guys from Mexico are only nurses, paramedics, rescuers, engineers and people of the sort with experience in disaster relief. As you can imagine, Mexico is also hit by hurricanes every year and these guys are the ones in charge of bringing those towns in Mexico back on their feet. Mexico also continuously helps out the Central-American countries with situations like this. These people were even helping with the tsunami situation in the Gulf of India. And as I saw on the news each of this cargo trucks was inspected by the U.S. customs authorities like any other civil vehicle. I didn’t read all of these crazy articles, but some even show how people make up this kind of thing...."insignia reading 'Mexico MP's'"...Please!! MP as we know stands for Military Police, but in Mexico is called Policia Militar and the abbreviations is PM, not MP. It is a slight difference, but if they are quoting what they saw they will not miss stuff like that. Those articles are full of B.S.

Holy smokes, guys! Can you imagine going through your entire life with the conspiratorial mindset that haunts ninas?
Too many "X-Files" reruns, perhaps?

TJGuy, I believe that what she is experiencing is just watching too much network coverage. If someone were to watch TV all day long, uncritically, I truly believe they would become delusional. That's why I say that there are no media outlets which I pay any attention too. All that we can learn from any media outlet is a constant flow of negativism. I'm was sincerely worried, even scared, that all of the left-winged members of this board were going to fall in lockstep with Nina. Thank you for not doing this.

Sombody needs to bring this to the attention of Oliver Stone. There has to be a movie made of this invasion by the Mexican forces. From the photos I have seen they are unarmed. GWB himself was shaking hands with the Mexican troops on Wed of this week. It is highly unlikely that the President would be out shaking hands with an armed invading force.

Hey I hear king george is going to give a speech or have a press conference tonight and supposedly going to accept some of the blame for the recent disasters. I wonder if he's going to answer any questions this time? Lately he hasn't had time as he states " Ahm to busy out savin lives ya'll". If he is going to anwer questions I'm curious who the right wingers have planted in the press to ask those "softball" questions? As you might remember the other planted press person was "outted" by the "legitimate" press and later even though he said he represented the moral majority Conservative press was discovered to be a gay person with his own gay escort service on the internet called "Military Stud". And after reading about the invasion by Mexico, "hide the women and children!!" I tend to agree with the old viejito in the neighborhood who says "Society has lost our minds!"

Desert Dweller, I was going to ask the board if what Ninas saw was another Michael Moron movie. It sure has all the makings for a scene in one of his movies from what I've heard. Fulano, You and Ninas watch much TV together? I was really surprised by an interview with James Carville today on a local radio program. I expected the third word out of his mouth to be an attack on the President. Instead he calmly acknowledged that both President Bush and governor Blanco were willing to accept responsibility but what good does that do if we don't get at the heart of the matter and not let it happen again? I couldn't believe my ears. For someone who I've always found annoying, he has really changed. Bottom Line: Neither President Bush, Govenor Blanco, or Mayor Naygin could have stopped Katerina or the after effects. Governor Blanco and Mayor Naygin should have conducted a better plan to get those people out of New Orleans before the disaster occured and President Bush should have gotten food and water into New Orleans within 24 hours. Now come to find out, the catastophe is not near as bad as portrayed by the press. 1000 people are moving back to New Orleans already, and the French Quarter opens by next week. Thank God I live in the U.S.

What a great Oliver Stone movie it would make, DD. He could even put a few Mexican soldiers on the grassy nole and imply that Mexico shot JFK and that this "invasion" is just the last piece of a strategic puzzle to take back Texas, Arizona, New Mexico.
After all, the mass Mexican illegal immigration isn't a jobs related exodus but rather a brilliant covert attempt to create a 5th column in the U.S.A.. Now they can take over some states they didn't own before.
INGENIOUS!!

And I'm sure he dazzled the 'Republic of Mexico''s troups with his Spanish and discussing with Vicente Fox about putting a halt to Nucular proliferation now that all of our allies (all 4 of them! or 5 if you count Tonga) are standing strong behind us in the wake of 'that big storm', Hurricane Karina. hehehe... And who needs Oliver Stone?! I'll do the honors myself! (the following is 'tongue-in-cheeck', by the way) GWB plans to replace our own National Guard with Mexican military because he knows/thinks he can pay them less than minimum wage and won't have to give them medical/retirement benefits. This is all in the name of "Making both our nations stronger" and improving relations between us. Because, afterall, "This is Hard Work and we need all the help we can get. <pause> Now watch this drive! pssst! hey Condie! When's my next vacation scheduled?" Saludos, MadridMan

Do you think GB can tell the difference between an Mexican soldier and an Mexican American soldier in the National Guard?
What so funny is GB in front of the U.N. yesterday telling them they have to abolish trade tariffs and subsidies. Wasn't this the same GB in the first two years of his office had trade barriers on steel imports? Is he going to let Cuba export sugar cane to the U.S.?
Leadership is not saying to the world do as I say and ignore what I do!
