Planning a trip to Madrid in May for 10 nights or so. Has anyone stayed at the Hostal Cruz Sol ? From the website it looks like an ok place, with the necessary ammenities. please let me know ASAP, so I can make my reservations, or if you have any other recommendations, they would be much appreciated!

Hostal Cruz Sol is a fantastic place

I love it. I stayed there this summer in a triple room. My son stayed earlier in the year in a single room - he was only 15 at the time, and felt very safe and happy there. It's clean, convenient, efficiently run by helpful and pleasant staff .. overlooking a small plaza .. you can see Plaza Major from some of the rooms.

I can really recommend it.

Cruz Sol is great. I've stayed there many times. I particularly like the one-person rooms just across from the registration desk: a little noisy during checkin and checkout, but they overlook the Plaza Santa Cruz and are quite comfy.
