Hey all,

I haven't checked out this website in a few months... but I thought I'd send a post to see if there was interest in having another "cena espanola"... we've had success with previous dinners, there have usually been about a dozen people who've met, hung out, chatted about travels and life in general, and usually the strong have made it to an afterparty smile

So I'm thinking maybe we can try for a dinner towards the end of January... the weekends of the 21st/22nd or the 28th/29th... we can scope out a spot in midtown or downtown manhattan with a fun and engaging atmosphere... The agenda will be dinner (most likely tapas), sangria, cafe, and then on to nearby bars/clubs if people are still up for it.

What do all the New Yawkers think about this? Obviously this is open to people in Connecticut and New Jersey as well, the more the merrier...

Hope to hear from some of you and see some new and old faces!

Bobby

P.s: Don't be making fun of how us New Yorkers speak man, we don't have a accent. The rest of America does

I would be interested in joining you. I live in midtown Manhattan on the East Side.
Is one of the "rules" that we speak Spanish? Mine while hopefully improving is still less than perfect.
My e-mail is arthurgre@yahoo.com.

Ok great, so we've got 4 total so far... what do you guys think about the dates, which one works better for you? Either weekend works for me.

Cafe Riazor is a good idea, great food and not too expensive.

Making fun of New Yorkers? C'mon Rich, I would never make fun of youse guys.

OK let's shoot for the 28th... I'm surprised that there aren't more locals interested, we usually round up a good dozen folks... maybe we should expand our circle, invite MadridMan's DC or Boston posse to NY???

So Cafe Riazor, Jan 28th, 8 pm. Let's spread the word out to other people you know who are interested in Spanish culture and have lived in Spain. Not that it matters, once the sangria starts flowing, everyone in the restaurant will be our buddy.
