Hello finally I´ve booked today. I´m going to study spanish (super intensive course) at Enforex - Madrid-! I will be staying in a student shared flat and hope to meet you!

How can we oranize such a gathering... I don´t now Madrid... but I asume you are there as well, same :p period?

I'll be arriving in Madrid on (probably) Nov. 6. So maybe we can get some people together to hang out in one of the many "terrazas" (outdoor bar/cafes), weather permitting. I won't be studying at Enforex, though.

I will be a student at Estudio Sampere in Madrid, but not until the end of January. I have signed up for the 6-week intensive course. I am interested in knowing if there will be others attending this school as well, or if anyone has already attended it before. If so...what was your experience like?

Who wants to help me to start a GATHERING?? maybe Ignacio and Andrés?

I am not good at organizing, but I'd be glad to join.

What about you, Andrés? You organize a lot of meetings with your gourmet bar hopping tours (free ad, hehe).

Indie, many of these meetings have been started and joined through a MM thread like this. This could be the method.

We just need a couple of suggestions, a brief debate, and people joining.

As from Monday to Wednesday night life is not so interesting, and to wait viajero who comes the 6th, it could be nice to do something one of those days (from 6th to 9th). Ignacio knows the night well enough to help you with the gathering, don't you Ignacio?
I normally prefer a Thursday because places are not so crowded and it's easier to move, although of course, I go back home earlier than on a weekend.
Anyway, something more quiet can be done on Sundays, Mondays or any day, there's always something to do.
Viajero, I think november will be too cold to be outdoors at night.

To make it more easy, somebody who knows madrid, should suggest 1 day and 1 place and a time. There will always be people who can´t make it unfortunately!

So Miguelito, Andres, Ignacio??? Please give a suggestion and start a new topic: Gathering /date / time / place.

I´ll be there!! Maybe it comes in handy if we collect some pictures so we can recognize eachother.

I know some places, but I tend to go to salsa places, which is my favourite environment, and usually is not the favourite place of northern european or american tourists. I know some of Huertas/Santa Ana, and a couple of places for dinner, not too bad, in that area that is tourist-fashionable, but I am far from being an experienced Central Madrid "nightlifer", I go to this area ocasionally only.

That's why I think many can do the job much more properly, besides, I am null organizing things.

OK, I am in. The usual thing in dinners out, eating tapas, could be about 15 to 20 € each, although it could be cheaper or more expensive depending on tha kind of tapas, the place, the amount of food desired, the wines/sangrias/others ...

I don't have/don't want Messenger, but I think this thread should be enough but for the few aspects that you (or anyone) wants to concrete with Pablete.

I'm Pablo, but don't live in Santa Ana. I went to a big gathering with a lot of members, JoeSambuca, Antonio...we had a great time!.

I'll probably be a walking mass of jetlag, but I can make it to an earlyish (9 pm?) dinner on Nov. 6th. I doubt I'll have the energy to go out partying afterward though!

For me, it's the same. My agenda is wide open yet for a such anticipated date. I hope he recovers well, I use to need one or two weeks after a trans-oceanic trip.

I´d be interested but the first week of November I´m probably going to be booked. I belong to fan clubs for 2 singers that I like so I can meet more Spaniards/practice Spanish and their CDs come out around that time so I´ll probably be spending most of my free time at the beginning of November with my fan club friends. However if it doesn´t fall on the same day as one of our events, I´d love to get together with you guys.

Indie and Pablete never met you but hope you are well. To introduce myself I am Amanda. I would love to come to a meet up in Madrid but I live in Reus. If I can find a cheap hostal(that will let me bring my dog) for that date I would love to return to Madrid. I know of a really good cheap place near metro Ventura Rodriguez for tapas and Sidra (by the way did I spell that right?) The cyder is only 4 euros a bottle and the tapas are free! Does anyone know the place I am talking about? I forgot the name of the place but it is really good. Well just thought I would throw an idea out there. Let me know what you think

Sorry to hear you finally left. It would be great to have you back even for a day/some days.

There are plenty of cheap hostals, but the dog matter will need some research, as you know.

These days I am a bit crazy with my holidays preparations, but I am coming back 27 October. If you haven't found any place where your dog can stay, I can take a tour around some hostals and ask. Unfortunately I cannot host it in my home as I am allergic to "acaros" that grow in skin and hair of animals. However, if you bring him/her I will be glad to play a while with him/her, because I love dogs (spiritual love only ).

Sorry guys, but I won't be able to go to our gathering. I have to work out of Spain for 15 days (leaving tomorrow).
