Sorry! I wasn't paying attention and posted a message about the snow in the Spanish section. :o But my sentiments are with you all. It's one big soggy mess now, but what a great day!

Just now, on TVEi, I saw video of the snowfall in Madrid. Wow.. just beautiful. They said it had been 20 years since the capital got this much snow. Hmmm.. Maybe that was the year I remember seeing the photo in our newspaper of Spanish children making snowmen in Retiro Park.

It was very nice yesterday. We had about 2 1/2 inches at my house in Majadahonda. It was nice seeing everything in white. The kids actually got a "Snow" day in Madrid.

Just wondering if you all still 'love the snow' - from what the news is indicating you muct feel like it will never get warm again .... brrrrrr!

Well, it's true, this winter is getting a bit annoying. 15F tonight!
And I still prefer snow conditions to this 15-34F and bitter northeast winds.

In the rest of Spain the situation is right now incredible. Snow in Valencia, Sevilla, Huelva, Cordoba, Alicante...places where you would NEVER expect it.
In the north.. well, no comment:

Incrediable photos - again! Just the tought of snow - and with such intensity - in Sevilla, Cordoba,Valencia, etc -it just isn't what one expects. A bit in Madrid, of course - but Madrid is begining to look like Boston! Let alone the northern part of Spain - where the snow is piled to the second floor lanais - unbelievable.

And, much as I love Spain - and even more wish I wwere there all the time - I have to admit right now I'm glad I'm in Charlotte ....

No, don't hesitate. Spain is beautiful even under the snow.
