From spending 2 nights there (web: http://www.hostal-victoria.com/ ) last week we give it a 8.5 out of 10 FOR THE FOLLOWING REASONS:

A) 24 hour access to key at front desk.
B) Elevator to 4th floor.
C) Downhill walk to Atocha station or 2 minute cab ride.
D) Surrounded by places to eat and drink a block off Pt. Del Sol
E) Under 10 minutes strolling to either Plz. Mayor or Del Prado.

Marble bathroom a bit small, but hey, get washed and get outside!

ONLY COMPLAINT: Front desk could have notified travelers that the Daylight Savings Time switch in Spain occurs on March 28. Losing an hour right before flight/train/bus times can be critical.

WOULD WE STAY AGAIN: Solid YES.
