I just returned from Spain and I can't get this song out of my head. I was wondering if anyone out there could possibly give me the name. IT is such an annoying song but it really grows on you. Most Spanish pop sounds the same but this one's distinguishing characteristic is that the lead singer man keeps rolling his r's at the end of the phrase. ie: doo doo dah dah darrrrrrrr. Please help me!

I know exactly what song you're talking about, but I don't know the name of it either. It kind of falls in the same category right now with the "Yo Quiero Bailar, Todo la noche...." right about now laugh .

I would be interested to know what the name of that song is too.

Sorry augustus, but if it's a song with a lot of "rrrr", then it must be King Africa's
Humahuaqueño. It's one of the "summer songs" here in Spain.

Here you have the lyrics. Just adds as many "r" as you can to the ending at the "bailar" word in the chorus and you'll be singing like the rest of the Spaniards this summer.

Quote:

King Africa - Humahuaqueño

Llegando está el carnaval quebradeño
mi cholita (x2)
Fiesta de la quebrada humahuaqueña
para bailar

Erke, charango y bombo
carnavalito para bailar, bailar, bailar, bailar

(Quebradeño humahuaqueñito)
Quebradeño humahuaqueñito
(Quebradeño humahuaqueñito)
Quebradeño humahuaqueñito

Fiesta de la quebrada humahuaqueña
para bailar

Erke, charango y bombo
carnabalito para bailar, bailar, bailar, bailar
¡eso!

Llegando está el carnaval quebradeño
mi cholita (x2)

Fiesta de la quebrada humahuaqueña
para bailar

Erke, charango y bombo
carnabalito para bailar, bailar, bailar, bailar...

(Quebradeño humahuaqueñito)
Quebradeño humahuaqueñito
(Quebradeño humahuaqueñito)
Quebradeño humahuaqueñito

Fiesta de la quebrada humahuaqueña
para bailar

Erke, charango y bombo
carnabalito para bailar, bailar, bailar, bailar

By the way, if someone it's interested in that song or any other popular Spanish song, then try WinMX and search for "King Africa", "Sonia y Selena", "Raúl"... lots of summer songs this year.

What is Raúl's "summer song?" I knew I should have bought his new CD while I was there, he is nowhere to be found in the States.

The name of Raul's summer song is "prohibida". I found it with my WinMX. Just type "raúl prohibida" and search for it wink

Hi there!

King Africa have three summer songs I would say:Humauaqueño, Comadre compadre and Salta.

One more from the last summer: Bomba

Sonia y Selena sing the "Yo quiero Bailar" song (yo quiero bailar, toda la noche...) and "Deja que mueva".

You may find some of these songs in this URL: http://geocities.com/caimcito/albums/main/index.html

Ups, is it illegal? wink I'm innocent!!! I promise you! It came to me and I couldn't avoid it!

There are other legal sites in which you may find any song by paying a small fee (quarter dollar for a song): http://www.weblisten.com

Have fun!

Thank you, especially Fernando. The song was Comadre compadre. Finally! You do not know how happy I am. It's like when you're trying to solve a puzzle and you finally get the last piece. Good Times. Thanks everyone. Cheers! smile
