That's right! Catch me tonight at 8pm ET (east coast USA time) on the Lycos Talk Show network. CLICK HERE details about "The MadridMan.com Show: Let's Talk About Spain!!"

I realize that if it's difficult to get people together at a certain time in the chat room I expect it to be MUCH MORE difficult to get people to listen.

This is a talk show, yes. I can take Spain-related calls (if you have a microphone), you may ask your Spain-related questions, and tell me/us your Spain-related stories/experiences. The show's duration is about 1-hour (the hour BEFORE the NBA Finals probably FINAL game).

And get this! Lycos/Wonderhorse (the maker of the application) seems to be in cahoots with Microsoft because you may NOT use Netscape to listen to the show.

Tonight's is my FINAL UNofficial broadcast... I've used this week as my practice week and MONDAY night at 9pm ET will be my FIRST OFFICIAL broadcast of "The MadridMan.com Show: Let's Talk About Spain!". Check my bio page/schedule for future scheduled shows.

All this too much for you to remember? On my bio page (see link just above), you can sign up for an email notice of my next scheduled show.

I know. I know. I can JUST hear some of you out there saying to yourselves, "Sheesh! rolleyes What an EGO that MadridMan has! NOW he thinks people actually want to HEAR his voice too??! I can't take it! It's TOO MUCH!"

Keep in mind that it is a call in show, but I'll be happy to jibber-jabber about all the riches and richness of Spain between calls. This week I've averaged about 35 listeners per show and around 15 calls per show according to the reports supplied to me.

(People tell me I have "A Radio Voice")

I've been working on format, asking "trivia" questions, appropriate stories, and other STUFF. Give a listen if you're not doing anything at 8pm tonight, on a Friday night (probably ZERO of you... why would you want to waste an hour on a Friday night with MadridMan blabbering on and on about ANYTHING??).

Hope to hear from you (and you hear me) tonight!

Saludos, MadridMan laugh

Hi Jo-Anne! Thanks for asking/your interest. 8pm ET (which is NYC time) is 5 hours before you so that would be approximately 2 hours ago now. eek confused Hahahaha.. Just kidding. I'm afraid you would have to tune in at 1am your time in the UK so you'll likely already be asleep.

And why not "call in"???? Believe me, few people are listening yet (maybe 1 or 2 people at any given time) and I'd like to hear your voice! You could tell me/us about your Spain trips via VOICE!

Hope to HEAR from you tonight! laugh Saludos, MadridMan

Last night's "The MadridMan.com Show: Let's Talk About Spain!" was a mild success. I'm thinking I'll make an individual info page on MadridMan.com with scheduled shows and "What's the point of all this??" stuff. This would allow typical surfers to find it and then have their questions answered in the moment by MadridMan and/or other callers.

Next show will be broadcast Thursday night at 9pm ET (east coast USA time). Show topic: Spanish foods, wines, and tapas!! I think EVERYONE has something to say on this delicious topic so please listen in and call to share your favorite food suggestions.

Please visit My Bio/Schedule Page for more information and you can sign up for an email notification/reminder of the upcoming show too!! laugh Enjoy (if you listen)!

Saludos, MadridMan

Tonight's show was a pretty good success. Topic was "Lodgings of Spain", talking about home-stays, youth-hostels, hostels, hotels, and didn't quite get to paradors, but we can do that another time.

Next show will be on MONDAY NIGHT, 9pm EDT (eastern). It's usually on Tuesday night, but I know A LOT of cities/communities will have their fireworks (including us) on Tuesday night.

I invite you to visit my bio/schedule page for more information about Monday's show. Thanks to all those of you who listened!

Saludos, MadridMan smile

Is there any alternative way to participate in your show? (maybe through a chat channel?).

Sorry Antonio. Only people who are equipped with sound, Microsoft Internet Explorer can participate. If you have IE, but no microphone you can type in your questions/comments if you like by clicking on the TALK button of the radio panel.

Next show is Monday night at 9pm!! Usually it's on Tuesday nights, but here in the US many cities have their fireworks celebrating the 4th of July the night before (like us) so I doubt anyone would be listening then. For this reason, it will be on Monday night instead this week. laugh

Saludos, MadridMan
