....In Madrid, Stay one night, meet up with all the other people on the trip.....then its off to Oviedo for 3 nights.
Saturday is the Angrilu stage of the La Vuelta . Just hope the weather is OK. Last time we were there it was cold and wet, not much fun sitting shivering for 6 hours waiting for the race to come through!! Look out for the Union Jack about 3km from the finish

The Angrilu wiould be a cracking stage to watch even in the rain, its a pity David Millar isnt there this year to have a hissy fit if it does rain .
We were going to go to watch it at El Escorial last year and the forecast was for thunder and lighting , so we didnt bother , and then we managed to miss the final on castellana , which was only a 5 m inute walk from my house . Next year hopefully catch it .

We're back in Madrid for the final stage, then staying at Hostal Chelo for a few days. So hopefully a meet for dinner or lunch will still be ok

Eskimo Joe: We were there when DM threw his bike.....and a bit of thunder etc doesn't put us off...we just pack for all eventualities.This year we've added a "space blanket" to the kit.

its funny you metnion cycling . I originally booked time off my work this weekend to go down to Glasgow to see the Tour of britain , but instead im coming to Madrid tomorrow to go bullfighting .
