My wife and I are realy thrilled! We're there from Nov 8th to the 22nd. We'll spend 4 night in Madrid. 4 nights in Valencia. 3 nights in Brussels and 3 more in Madrid.

In order to not back-track, we'll take the train from Madrid to Valencia then fly to Brussels then fly to Madrid.

I see that La Almudena is on 9TH of November. What's that like? Should we check it out or avoid that spot. I don't know much about it other than it looks like it's quite a large gathering in Plaza Mayor to honour the patron saint if the city.

The evening of the 9th(believe it or not) we're going to a Y&T concert @ Sala Heineken . Feel free to looks for us there!

Hi Rudolfo!

La Almudena is not a very interesting holiday. There are some religious celebrations at the Cathedral and its sorroundings, like the Plaza Mayor.
Madrid people in general take the opportunity to enjoy a long weekend somewhere out of Madrid or to go to Ikea forniture shop.
So don't worry about the crowds.

Have fun here!

Thank you Damian!

We may stop by Plaza Mayor for a taste then move on. No shortage of things to keep us busy.
I'll save the trip to Ikea for my next holiday smile

Well done Rudolfo, You could waist your entire holidays trying to assemble one of the Ikea products.

Remember to buy your tickets for the Alaris train to Valencia in advance, friday evenings are really busy. The train is fantastic to go to Valencia, it takes only 3 hours 20 minutes from Madrid Atocha to the very centre of Valencia city, its comfortable and it has even a bar car with snacks, coffee and drinks.

You could take the metro in Valencia to go to the airport, its easy and cheap.

Have fun in my two home cities.

I think I'll just take a trip to Toledo.
