You know, MM does so much for all of us through having created and maintained - make that maintaining - our favorite web-site - its a damn shame he also has to play board 'baby sitter' for the rare person who abuses it.

Thanks MM !!! smile

And, no, all you linguists out there - that was not a mistake on my part - I did intend to write board baby sitter - interpretations up to the reader! laugh

Sorry, Chica, today I can't laugh at your joke. frown

By the time Charlie finishes with us, that is all we are going to be. My little town is right center on Charley's path, the stately oaks and pine trees will be nothing but toothpicks by this evening.

It's been nice knowing all of you, just in case. eek

Booklady, I understand what you must be feeling when you imagine the beautiful landscape so horribly changed. Our forests burned last summer and now we get to hike through the charred remains. I hope that the winds spare your town and pray you stay safe!

Hola,la Maestra.

Thankfully, my part of Florida was spared the worst. Charley was expected at Tampa and then northeasterly course through Ocala, and the Ocala National Forest, my area of the world, and then onwards to Jacksonville. Instead, it devastated the beautiful nature coast of Fort Myers/Punta Gorda/Port Charlotte. They still cannot access the death toll because some of the neighborhoods are so destroyed that they are inaccessible to the emergency crews. Imagine!

Many of these folks, were retires living in mobile homes. The hurricane tossed these like dominoes. I have been trying to reach a librarian friend there and so far no luck, the lines are still down. I hope she is OK! frown

Hi Booklady and everyone else frown
I live here in the small town just north of Port Charlotte...my family was luckily spared from Charley's wrath, since we were on the north west side of it....but the world around me is in total devastation. So somebody tell PAULY that we have LIFE to worry about...quit spamming us.
My upcoming trip to Spain will be a greatly welcomed event after this one. frown

Booklady and Starprotected, I'm SO glad you both made it through safe and sound. The photos look awful and I feel for those impacted by the storm. It is a reminder that no matter how we protect ourselves from terrorists and the like, we are all still at the mercy of Mother Nature.
