Hola,la Maestra.
Thankfully, my part of Florida was spared the worst. Charley was expected at Tampa and then northeasterly course through Ocala, and the Ocala National Forest, my area of the world, and then onwards to Jacksonville. Instead, it devastated the beautiful nature coast of Fort Myers/Punta Gorda/Port Charlotte. They still cannot access the death toll because some of the neighborhoods are so destroyed that they are inaccessible to the emergency crews. Imagine!
Many of these folks, were retires living in mobile homes. The hurricane tossed these like dominoes. I have been trying to reach a librarian friend there and so far no luck, the lines are still down. I hope she is OK!
