The delivery charges and headache factor plus the voltage converters will add up to more than buying new applicances there. Then you will have the non-existent peace of mind when you leave the house because everything will be haphazardly connected! eek

Hi, I'll be in Spain next week and I'm planning to wait and buy my converter over there. Would I save money by buying it here in the U.S. for about $20.00?? I've heard batteries are expensive there so I thought a battery charger might be as well.

Thanks.........Mary

Actually, the only U.S. device I had trouble using in Spain through an adapter/transformer was a AA battery charger: the charger fried after the third use. I gave up and just started buying batteries, since the other option was to spend a ton of money on a charger that I couldn't use back home in the states.
