Hello

After much research I've narrowed my choice of accomodation in Barcelona to 2 hotels; the Hostal Girona and the Hotel Principal.

Does anyone have any experience of either of these establishments and would they recommend them? They look very good on their respective websites but I'm particularly keen to know if they are in good locations in which to experience Barcelona.

The Girona is in the Eixample area (300 mtrs from Catalunya Square to be exact), is this within walking distance to La Ramblas and the Barri Gotic.

After using the SEARCH link (above right) I found Hostal Girona was reviewed in the " hotel reviews " thread but not Hotel Principal . Anyone else?
