I was born and raised in Brooklyn, spent close to 4 years in Madrid in my formative years and eventually transplanted to Denver. Any neighbors out there?

Hey Madridman you should start Chapters like the NY madridman chapter etc. etc.

I'm from Chicago originally, but now live on Manhattan island. I like JoeSambuca's idea about forming a NYmadridman chapter.

Sunnyvale California - home of Yahoo and Intel, and thirty minutes from San Francisco. I lived in the city of San Francisco for three years - a great city. California is a wonderful state, but the cost of living is excessive in many parts.

I was born in Sacramento (1974), the captital city of California. Moved to the San Francisco Bay Area in 1993. Lived in South Africa, and now considering a move to Spain for more education.

Great topic! As I read through this thread I was impressed by the diversity of this board. Great website! Great mix of Americans and Spaniards.

I'm currently in Hartford, but have very strong ties to Queens, Oneonta (in the Catskills) and Myrtle Beach... spent a month in PR so i'd LOVE to chat w/ someone about there... and 2 months in Spain for school... returning to Madrid in 3 weeks!!!!!

Well, I am here living in Spain, El Espinar (Segovia)...about 30 miles north of Madrid to be exact. I hail from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (USA) and moved here last April after marrying my hubby, a happy madrileño (now Segoviano je je je!!)

I studied here in Spain for a couple of weeks while in high school, then returned for my junior year in college. Since then it has been non-stop visits to what was my favorite vacation place in the world. No longer my favorite vacation place because it is now my home!

Judging from the directionals mentioned by Markn (north, northwest of Philadelphia9 I would say that he is close to the Pocono Mountains....no Amish there!
