Hey there, Muchas gracias Michael Allen! I thought I'd wish all the madrileños everywhere a happy long-weekend/puente. Tomorrow is the day of "La Almudena", one of Madrid's patron saints; the other is "La Virgen de la Paloma"(dove), which happens to be my name(only Paloma,ha,ha!) Oh! and good morning to everyone waking up across the Atlantic!

I now live in North Florida, west of the ancient Spanish city of San Agústin, east of Gainesville, home of the GATORS! I hope to live in España when I retire and root for Real Madrid!

Hey, Booklady, I am a Floridian too (transplanted to Minnesota!). I'm from Jacksonville, and my parents now live in St. Augustine. I love walking along St. George Street, catching glimpses of Castillo de San Marcos along the way. I always think of Spain. And I went to UF--go GATORS!! Tara

Hola Taravb! Wow, this is a small world. You can understand why I love St. Augustine so much. When I walk down St. Georges and Hypolita St. on my way to my favorite Restaurant, The Columbia, I feel like I am back in Spain. If you come down email me and we can have a MM get together at the Columbia! Go Gators!

Hi, I'm Russ. Nice to meet you all (what a list!)
I'm originally from San Francisco, but I came out to Madrid a couple years ago to help a friend of mine with a new company, met a wonderful woman who is now my wife and so now I live here in Madrid. Lucky me! (Though I sorta miss the beach... and hot Henry's Hunan.)
My Spanish still sucks. I'm a thick-headed dork who goes to Spanish class every week (and have been for over a year. Ugh)... I'm reading Harry Potter in Spanish right now, so I guess it's improving. ;-) Or at least I can speak at the level of a precocious 10 year old.
-Russ
