Sorry Madrid lovers, this is a Barcelona question: anyone have any information or experience with this hotel? On Tripadvisors.com, one guy complained endlessly about breaking his leg in Barcelona but at the end, highly recommended his hotel (Hotel Monegal on Plaza Catalunya). I figure since he spent so much time being miserable in Barcelona, he must have really liked where he stayed to rave about it like that.

Hi Diana, as I was doing an extensive search on Hotel Monegal today, I found a website claiming that it was a "gay sauna that discretely shares the same entrance as Hotel Monegal." Is this true???

There was no sign of a gay sauna two years ago! It is true that the entrance is shared. I remember something like a watch shop. Maybe it has changed.
