Here on the south coast the Noche de San Juan features large on the fiesta calendar, with a huge 'hoguera' on the beach in the form of a tableau which is set alight at midnight.

We also have the Virgen del Carmen fiesta to look forward to on the 16th July.

She is the patron saint of fishermen and most towns and villages with a fishing community celebrate by carrying the Virgen out to sea to be praised by the local population.

1. El Camino de Santiago

- Europe
- Destination: Santiago de Compostela's Cathedral

Here you have a map with the original routes (Some historians say, El Camino is for Christianity what Mecca is for Islam; the difference is that we're not forced to go and we drink and eat a lot during the journey laugh ).
