Are you in/from the US, dr4kidds? If so....

To use your U.S.-purchased electric-powered equipment, bring a converter and an adapter. The electrical current in Spain is 220 volts, 50 cycles alternating current (AC); wall outlets take Continental-type plugs, with two round prongs.
I haven't used a hairblower for about 20 years but it seems to me some had a little switch where you could change it from one voltage to the other for travel purposes. If you have this, then you'd switch it over and then simply use a plug adapter and no transformer/converter would be needed. This is how my electric shaver is but it's automatic and has no switch so I only use the adapter plug and it works fine.

You may be able to find information about the voltage and/or if it's switchable on the manufacturer's website if you have/know the model number. Give that a try.

Many 4 or 5-star hotels (including Paradors) have blow dryers available in their ensuite baths. I think that may be their subtle way to prevent guests from plugging a blow dryer in the outlet they provide for electric shavers. rolleyes

A typical hair dryer draws around 10 amps at 110 volt. You need a hefty converter to use it in Spain, check the ampere rating before you buy one, most of them are only good for electric shavers and camcorders which draw only .2 amps.
