Aww, c'mon Calibasco, you can't just haphazardly interchange stereotypes...not all the jokes will work for the Catalans...
Seriously, I don't consider Catalans an ethnic group, but rather a linguistic/cultural community, so it's more acceptable to make jokes, the same way there are jokes about all the regions of Spain. And, hey, my grandparents were from Galicia, which seemed to get the brunt of it in terms of the jokes...
So, here's one (maybe it loses something in translation?):
A Catalan needs a hammer to drive in a nail. He tells his son to run over to the neighbor's house and borrow one. Little Pau comes running back and tells his dad that the neighbor didn't want to lend them a hammer, as that would wear it out, and hammers don't grow on trees, you know.
Dad responds, "What a damn cheapskate good for nothing neighbor we've got! OK, Pau, go to my toolbox and get our hammer."
thank you, ladies and gentlemen...I'll be here all week... :p
