Hello all,

I just thought I would share some links I found about slang in Madrid.

Madrid visto desde mi calidoscópio http://www.civila.com/madrid/diccionario.htm

ARGOT CASTIZO MADRILEÑO http://www.ammonra.com/castizo/ag04argo.htm

Is a reloj still referred to as peluco?

What are some of the newer words/phases that one might hear in Madrid?

The last one:
"te meto dos yoyas"
it means more or less I'm going to hit you twice, a little bit agressive.

Hi, all--
Just wanted to revive this thread as I came across a couple of good links for slang:
http://www.gowithcea.com/community/journals/slang1.asp (this one has translations in English)
http://www.geocities.com/Athens/Olympus/1960/ (translations are only in Spanish, but there are LOTS of terms--you have to click on the links for España)

Have fun!
Tara smile
