I plan to visit Spain - entering madrid on the 13th April 01, staying for about 3 nights...

Not particular about staying in any one place, but looking to see Spain the best way possible..

Any Ideas? Love to see flamenco / Salsa dancing at bars etc...need to stay at a place where accommodation is cheaper..perhaps..another town..and not Madrid ..Want this trip to be memorable..in a spanish sort of way...

It should be memorable (in a Spanish sort of way) but not because of the Flamenco or the Salsa dancing in bars: religious Processions dominate Friday (viernes de Semana Santa), which is a holiday for many Spanish workers. Sunday, April 15th is Easter Sunday (Monday is also a holiday). Easter is a family time for most people, but you should be able to find some activity in Madrid's Retiro Park
