It seems that Madridman is alway very busy to chat with me at his chat room so I was wondering if any of you would like to join me for a chat about Spain.

If so, just follow up this thread and post your name, city and country and what time will be ok for you?.

Antonio - Madrid (Spain)

Available for chatting from midnight Spain local time (GMT+2, I think. It's MM's time + 6 hours). Preferable at weekends.

My idea is to join most of the regulars of this board together to talk about Spain, but anybody is welcome.

Madridman, is your chat room big enough for a group of people or your system will crash if there are too many people there at the same time?.

Regards,

Antonio

PS: I am usually online around midnight in case someone wants to meet me.

Great Idea, Antonio! Hey, I'm not too busy to chat with you, Antonio! Never am I TOO busy to chat with you, buddy-o-mine! All you have to do is ask. It's just that the page and java applet takes a a litle longer to load (as you know) and sometimes you leave before I'm fully logged-in. That, and sometimes I don't notice your pager message immediately or I'm in the kitchen when it comes.

MadridMan's Chat Room will accommodate as many people as are logged-in, I believe. I've had as many as 15 people in there at once without problem.

Everyone: Keep in mind that Spain is 6 hours AHEAD of the USA's Eastern Time zone or 9 hours AHEAD of USA's Western Time zone so calculate accordingly.

Saludos, MadridMan

I can't believe it. No one wants to chat with me

Did I say I don't have girlfriend?. (Hope this encourages any of the girls here to meet me at the Madridman chat room .

Antonio

Dear Antonio,

I'm sorry that no one has responded to your invitation to chat - at least at this time. But please don't take it personally and feel sad or unappreciated.

To the contrary, your postings have always been helpful and very encouraging to those of us planning a move or visit to Spain.

Take heart! Some people will want to chat when the times are mutually convenient.

And, speaking of hearts, don't ever forget that a kind and loving heart (one that acts only from the truth) will eventually connect you with the woman you are meant to be with.

My best wishes,

Colleen

Antonio, I think it would be a great idea to set up some times to chat. I myself have entered the chatroom, to find it empty.

Hi Collen & Sean,

I usually enter the chat at night at about 00:00 (Spain local time).

Thanks for your sympathy Collen. Actually, I'm not so desperate. I just thought that with 300 registered users we could gather a big group of people to chat together.

By the way, if someone is entering the chat for sure at night, you can also e-mail me to let me know.

Regards,

Antonio

Antonio,
I will look for you around 0:00 spain time. Tonight I checked the room out, and it was empty as usual.

Just had a great little chat with missmadrid. It's great to chat with someone after seeing so many of their posts on the board. I hope more of us check it out!

Hi Sean,

Last night and today (August 2nd) I entered the chat room. Missmadrid98 has just left it. In fact, I said hello to her but she doesn't see me!.

Then, Diana enter there and we had a very quick chat.

I will keep on trying. I guess it will be easier during the weekend.

Regards,

Antonio

I was in the chat room Friday at 01:30 spain time, I saw you there but you didn't respond. I guess you were occupied with something else. I'll keep trying...

Hi Sean,

I think yesterday I left before 1:30. I guess the system kept showing my name even though I wasn't in the chat room.

Anyway, I've been chatting with missmadrid98, Tscharlie, Donny, Madridman and Diana in the past few days.

Tonight I will enter again at about midnight.

Regards,

Antonio

MadridMan's Chat Room allows users to enter a screen name and enter the chat room. However, if there in INactivity for more than, say, 5 minutes you will be logged off and will have to login again (probably) under a different name. If this happens, sometimes your previous screen name will "linger" until it's removed by the system. If you're just "hanging out" and waiting for someone to arrive, type a couple characters in the chatroom from time to time just to keep your status "Active". Have fun! I enjoy the chat last night!

Saludos, MadridMan

bummer,

every time i go to log in there is no one
else on the chat...

when would most people be on?? i know that we as a group cover a pretty grand timezone span... i'm in los angeles, 2 hours behind new york city, 2 hours behind ohio, and 1 hour behind chicago, denver, phoenix, etc... i think this makes me 8-10 hours behind spain...? correct me if i'm wrong, anyone..

anywho, it would be nice to connect with anyone out there and chat for a few... i guess night time might be best for most people..

bye!

Hi real_megia! I've noticed that the past few nights we've had a good crowd (3-5 people) at around 6pm Eastern time or 3pm on the west coast. I realize the time difference makes it difficult for you out there. Maybe on the weekends would be better. It's all by chance to meet someone in MadridMan's Chat Room . I'm rarely there myself just because I have TONS of email to answer, website updates, replying to Message Board postings, and things at home (i.e. eating, sleeping, paying bills, exercising) during my few waking hours "en casa" each day. It seems Antonio is there more than me. Last night he was there for at least 2-hours from 6pm-8pm Eastern time. A couple years ago I used to schedule "Chat With MadridMan" nights, but no one ever came, but that was also before I had the number of visitors that I do now. Still, most people don't have time to chat because they don't like to be kept to a schedule. It's all very understandable. Hope we all meet someday soon!

Saludos, MadridMan

Having grown up up in Spain, I know that it is filled with more than beautiful women. There are gorgeous men as well. So, does Antonio resemble Antonio Banderas at all????

Where's everybody?. I haven't seen anybody in the past three days in MM chat room.

I saw Sean twice but he entered and quickly exit before he noticed me.

Diana, missmadrid, Sean... where are you?.

Regards,

Antonio
