This board has been so helpful to me and I want to pass on a few tips. First at Cuenca, we loved the Posada San Jose, which was recommended on the board. We are a family of four and can't always find accomodations big enough. We got a two-room suite for 95 euros in an historic building filled with charm and a gorgeous view hanging on the gorge.

On Mallorca, we stayed at a great apartment, which is a converted grain mill. It's in the small town of Fornalutx in the mountains. If you want to leave the hoards behind and immerse yourself in a small Mallorcan town, this is the place. Marie, the owner is fabulous. She used to manage La Residencia, a luxury hotel in nearby Deia. Here's a link: http://www.holiday-rentals.co.uk/index.cfm/property/5603.cfm

See Beckham's recent post for my recommendation in Madrid.

Finally, we are now staying in Sevilla in a great apartment in the Barrio Santa Cruz. The link: http://www.alojamientos-sevilla.com/ Antonio and his daughter Pilar manage the apartments and they are very friendly. Our apartment is just right y estamos muy contentos aqui en Sevilla!
