Loc: South Wales. U.K.
Can someone please tell me:-
a. Am I correct in saying that 'salut' is the right way to say 'cheers' in Spanish?
b. The correct spelling for 'salut' or whatever the word is.
p.s. am in heaven because I have found a very good tapas restaurant in Swansea - yes, Swansea S. Wales, U.K. Had raciones of boquerones al natural, chorizo, merluza, albondigas and tortilla - excelente! I can't get to Spain but at least I can taste it!

Hello,
I think salut is Catalan, (it's very famous their expression 'salut i forza al canut')
in Spanish it would be 'salud' or 'chin chin' (be careful of this one if you're with japaneses)
Enjoy your tapas...
