Okay... Since
I'm the lame brain who deleted that VERY useful previous thread, it's only fair that I re-list the ALT+ keys for the accented Spanish letters and characters. Here you go....
With the NUM LOCK key in the ON position on your PC's side keypad,
push and hold the ALT key AND THEN the 3 digits
in sequence to make the following characters/accented letters:
ALT+130 = é
ALT+144 = É (listed above by CaliBasco)
ALT+160 = á
ALT+161 = í
ALT+162 = ó
ALT+163 = ú
ALT+164 = ñ
ALT+165 = Ñ
ALT+166 = ª (as in the abbreviated "Mª" for María)
ALT+167 = º (degrees, also for piso number & word "número" as "Nº")
ALT+168 = ¿
ALT+173 = ¡ (upside down exclamation point)
And... What about the capital accented "A" as in "Angel" and other capital accented letters not listed above?? And the double-dotted "u" as in "Arguelles"?
Again, sorry for the inadvertant DELETION. Ugh.
THIS JUST ADDED:
Using Tia's 4-digit method, as listed at
About.com (thanks to PacoM above):
á Alt + 0225
Á Alt + 0193
é Alt + 0233
É Alt + 0201
í Alt + 0237
