Anyone know of a place to stay in Alicante or Gandia? Planning on going up the coast from Alicante to Valencia. Any suggestions on where to stay?

I know if you want a nicer hotel, try the Hotel Melia Alicante . It's right on the beach. A couple of friends of mine recently stayed at the Hostal Mayor and said it was fairly nice and they liked it.
