Hi,

I'm jacking in the rat race to live in Madrid for a year, maybe two, with my girlfriend. So far we have got 4 days accommodation on someone's floor.

Does anyone have any advice on renting a flat? Anything from how to find them to how not to get ripped off would be most gratefully received. We're on a budget so is a flat the best option or can you do OK in a hostel? How long do you reckon it will take to find a place?

So many questions!

Also, if anyone's in the same boat, I'm coming out on June 5th so drop me a line and we should at least meet for a tapas.
