I'm planning to move to Spain this in September to teach English (which I know may be impossible since I'm an American). My question is if I work in Spain illegally for awhile and sometime down the road want to marry a Spaniard would this be a problem? What I mean is if the Spanish authorities found out I had been there illegally could they somehow refuse to let me marry a Spaniard or refuse to let me live in Spain after I got married? This may be a silly question because I have no idea if I'll ever marry a Spanish citizen (although my boyfriend is from Spain so it is a possibility) but I just wondered if anyone knew anything about this.
