I am trying to find work in Spain and I am wondering if you get a work permit is it good from one job to another? Or do you have to reapply for a work visa every time you change jobs? The reason I ask is I may have a short term job there but I may want to stay a bit longer and find other employment.

If you get a residency card, for the first year it is only valid for the job which you received it with. However, you can apply for the renewal (the second card) 4 months before the expiration of the first one, and with the application receipt and eventually the second card one can circulate freely in the labour market.
