Indeed, I lived at 4310 Manayunk Av in Roxborough. Later I moved to 19th and Lombard in Center City which was much better.

Did you guys say Malvern, PA?

The id I "borrowed" in college, before I was legally old enough to enter bars (eventhough our pals in Spain were there every night!) was from someone who lived in Malvern, PA!!

BUT, of course, that was in my wilder days...now i just dream of Spain all day long!!

Diana -- thanks for posting the link to your review...I have sent it along to my friends in the Philly area so they can go out to eat there! wink

By the way, there is another Spanish restaurant in Philadelphia. It´s called Mallorca and is on South Street between Front and Second...almost directly across from the Monte Carlo (for all you other Philly diners). It is very over priced for the quality of food I had (entrees were $22 and upwards). Do not, by any means order the paella. It tastes nothing like the paella here in Spain!! I last ate there about a year and a half ago, just before moving to Spain. Perhaps they have gotten better... confused

Back to the topic....

The International Herald Tribune has a new section especially for expats. There are some interesting articles in it - one about adjusting to a new country, and another about coming home, and that adjustment. You can access it at http://www.iht.com/athome.html

Also, I found the article on banking issues I mentioned in the first post. You can see it at http://www.iht.com/articles/41320.html
