yeah thats very true
and remember in spain they park horizontaly and onto the edge of the sidewalk.
while here in the states whe always do the contrary.
i happen to like these type of differences.
for some reason i tend to prefer the way things are done in spain.
it just gets to me more

You will become a total EXPERT at parallel parking in spaces you would NEVER expect to be able to get into!

We just got back from 2+ weeks traveling around Spain in a rental car. We had no problems at all and, in fact, my husband LOVED driving there...Now I must qualify that this is because he is an aggressive driver who often drives above the speed limit, so he fit right in! The primary thing we noticed was that the drivers seem more alert than here, in terms of moving out of the fast lane quickly and allowing faster traffic to move past. Even if you drive fast, don't linger in the passing lane because someone will always drive faster! City driving is a different world entirely...narrow windy streets with lots of pedestrian traffice. I second the comment above about parallel parking...We learned to get into spaces that we wouldn't even attempt here! Good luck!
