I never take anything I would be really heart-broken to lose. That said, I rarely wear jewelry anyway. if it expensive, I only use it when going out-out or for special occasions. I have regretted not taking certain things, but I would hate to lose or have stolen something that had a great deal of sentimental value. I think it would really color my vacation in a negative way.

La Condesa, thanks for your "valuable" advice on the wearing of jewellry, I usually take some of my best pieces on holiday to wear only in the evenings. The term costume jewellry, refers to immitation, but looks real!
