I'll be leaving for my first trip to Spain in June and staying one month. I'll be 3 weeks on the coast and one week in Madrid. I'm totally confused on what is appropriate and what isn't. I'm in my mid thirties and usually wear more "youthful" type clothing (juniors) since I'm still able to look (if I do say so myself) good in them. Is it okay to wear shorts....pretty short...on the coast? Obviously it doesnt' seem like a good idea in Madrid. Are sleevelss shirts with pants instead of shorts okay to wear in the Prado and such? Any information would be helpful. I've read most of the posts on clothing but still am not quite sure... Thanks
Er, girls in shorts.....SHORT shorts... are just about tolerated by the male population on the Costa del Sol!! Don't know which coast you are heading for karrenn, but I don't think you'll have problems!
Garb for the Prado sounds good.

Anchovy thanks for the okay on the clothes. I'll be staying not far from Alicante for the first 3 weeks. I guess if all else fails I can buy some new things when I get there...can't wait!!!
