ARGH! Good for you. I wouldn't have a prayer catching him in Spain (always sells out) but these great acts (almost) never went to Columbus Ohio USA anyway. I did have tickets to Juanes in Columbus and didn't go because I caught a cold.
Anway, la historiadora, are you going to one of these great Alejandro Sanz concerts? Hope so!! Good luck!
Saludos, MadridMan

I don't know if I will go to one of the concerts or not -- it depends on if I can round up my other Spain-loving friends to come with me! I wonder if anyone interesting will tour with him. He has teamed up with some great artists in the last year or so. Although you can't get the song in the US, I noticed that he's part of Antonio Carmona's new single.

Thanks la historiadora.I also like Alejandro Sanz and have his albums "No es lo mismo" and "MTV unplugged".I'm also getting ready to purchase his newest cd "El tren de los momentos". You are right,he has done some very interesting DUETS with other artists very recently.I saw the one he did with SHAKIRA called "La tortura" on Latin Music Grammy night this past November and it was fantastic. Also he did a duet with LENA but I can't recall the name of the song right now. He's also featured on the recently released album by MIGUEL BOSÉ called "Papito". Sometimes it is very difficult to get the artists together for a concert because of tour commitments, etc. So it is very unlikely that the other artists will perform alongside Alejandro while he's on tour but you never know. I saw that he's going to be in my hometown on June 13.I'll see if I can make it,thanks.

El Rey, my friends and I have bought our tickets so we will be seeing him this summer! :jump: I have not bought Alejandro's latest album (I also plan to buy it soon) but I am enjoying the most recent duet with Shakira that you can hear on his web site. The "Tortura" song is fantastic, too. I also doubt that any of the artists will be with him, but wouldn't it be great if one of them did show up? :hdspin: It actually might be a possibility, according to this web site: www.voymusic.com/radio/news-50818-alejandro_sanz_spanish_summer I think it's more likely that any extra VIPs would appear in Spain. By the way, thanks for the post about Miguel Bosé. I had never heard of him before -- I don't know why -- but after listening to some of the music through the link you posted I am really enjoying the album and will probably purchase it in the near future.

Not sure if anyone else was able to see Alejandro Sanz on his tour. He postponed his US tour from last summer to January and February. My friends and I went and we had a great time! I have always liked his music, and I think he sounds even better live than on a CD or the radio. Some of the songs he played were "Corazon Partio," "Cuando Nadie Me Ve," "Quisiera Ser," "El alma al aire," "Te lo agradezco" and "No es el mismo." I'd definitely see him again in concert -- he was fenomenal !

Alejandro won last nite a Grammy award for best Latin Pop Music Album for "El tren de los momentos".I saw the show but he did not appear, his Grammy award was among those given beforehand since there's not enough time to present all the awards within the allotted time of the show(3.5 hrs).Juanes did appear on the show to present an award but did not sing.

So BarcelonaMan,next year huh?You wanna try for 3 in a row then,hehehehehehee...or maybe 4 since they also CHOKED in men's basketball you know. One more CHOKE like that and the Buckeyes will become the Buffalo Bills of the NCAA. Seriously BarcelonaMan,regarding these BCS championship games of American College Football, I'd like to know why is it that the number 1 ranked team (by some stupid poll)doesn't just win them all if they're sooooooooooooooo good. Ooops, time to listen one more time to the Grammy Award winning album "El tren de los momentos". P.S Dude,I think it's time to hide in the closet that Ohio State shirt that you like to show off on camera.I believe that act is getting kinda tired. :yuck: Anyways, who wants to know about ahem... "THE" Ohio State University these days. They are LOSING.

Sorry El Rey, I can't answer your questions here as it's WAAAY off topic - unrelated to the thread. But we can continue in private messaging if you like. My pleasure.
I don't yet own "Tren de los Momentos" but I'll surely put it on my list. I will say that the songs I have heard on the radio were not among my favorite Alejandro Sanz songs, however. Maybe I'll feel differently when I actually own the CD.
Saludos, BarcelonaMan - graduate from a University WHICH HAS REACHED a national championship game SEVERAL times in his life - won or lost. :p
