MM...It's Cafe Gijon that is next to El Espejo and as I understand it these one-time locales for the tertulia still see the literati from time to time. I always sit outside and don't particularly care if my neighbor is famous or not, so did not notice any celebs. (Just had coffee at Gijon last week!)

To the gals going in Oct.: I agree with other posters, bar hop in smaller spots; it's always fun. Kapital is quite large and there's always Joy Eslava on Calle Arenal. I'm dating myself here, but Pacha (back in the mid 80's) used to be quite the hot spot. Have no idea what it's like now. Anyone know?
