Hi all!

Has anyone else ever had mosto, and do you know if it's available in the US? Whenever I'm in Granada, we always drink 'mosto', which is just wine without alcohol. I know there are alcohol-free wines available here, but none taste as good as the mosto!!

i drink mosto in sevilla and its delicious. its different from the mosto in madrid. the one i drink does have alcohol although not as high as an aged wine.

I love mosto!!! Since I'm not a wine-drinker, I've always loved mosto. There's white and red mosto, too...

If you want a good mosto substitute, just buy Welch's white grape juice from concentrate and mix it heavy (less water than it calls for). It's not the exact replica, but it's close enough for not having to shell out plane fare and getting some Don Simon in the store...stick a few cubitos de hielo and an orange slice in your tall skinny glass and you're halfway there!

I've had mosto before, and I've seen it in the supermarket one time here in PA. That supermarket doesn't sell it anymore, though.
