rere..... Hehehee.. I had to laugh when I read your subject line. Are you asking about the CHUECA neighborhood of Madrid or of the town of CUENCA in Spain? Hehehee.....
Please remember to put city locators in your subject line for specificity. Let me/us know and I'll add it to your post. Thanks! wink

Either way, have you tried using the SEARCH link above/right? Try that using CUENCA-or-CHUECA RESTAURANT as your keywords.

I always recommend my customers a restaurant called "Vivares" at Hortaleza, 52. I was told by a regular customer it was a good place and they have a menu for just 1000 pesetas. Since then, all the people who have been there have told me it they liked it.

"Marsot", at Pelayo, 6 (I think), it's also said to be a good value for money.

Regards,

Antonio

Sorry, I do mean Chueca. I've been visiting Madrid for several years and admit I've always said it wrong. :o . MM, what do you mean by "city locators?"
Thanks everyone for the suggestions because I'll be in the neighborhood for several weeks studying spanish, and I sure like to eat. laugh

I second the suggestion by Felix, Extremadura is a very, very good restaurant! Mis suegros are from Extemadura and have taken us there many times, the staff is friendly, the setting is cozy and the cabrito is succulent!!!, as well as everything else on the menu.

rere, by "city locators" I mean to place the city name in your subject to which you are referring to better explain about which city you are discussing and to direct those with special interest in those cities.

Please remember that MadridMan's SPAIN Message Board is about ALL of Spain and not about any particular city so "city locators" are extremely important. Thanks! smile
