The area around Madrid's Atocha train station isn't really known for having
nice restaurants, but it has LOTS of
normal/
average restaurants.
But rgf's suggestion is a good one for a
fine restaurant, something I think you're seeking. El Brillante gets my vote, however, for good
bar food with no tables (standing at the bar only, unless you have a table on the terraza/sidewalk). There's also
Planet Hollywood (blech!!
)
You might also consider the VERY fine restaurant in
The Palace Hotel which is very near Atocha AND The Ritz hotel. The Palace is absolutely beautiful! It's pricey, though. Have a great time and please return here to this/your thread to tell us where you went. Thanks!
